Listing questions
Why do listings "await approval" and not go on automatically?
We want to make sure listings are placed in the right category and that all sections are filled out correctly to ensure that the directory's search tools will pick them up properly. We also want to ensure the directory is not "spammed" by porn sites and the like.
How do I make a listing?
If you're a first-time user, click on Register. You can add your contact details and add a new listing on the same page.
To add more listings, log in to your new account (click "remember me" and the directory will remember your login details for you). From this area you can add, edit or delete listings, and edit your contact information.
How can I tell if people are finding my listing?
When you log in statistics are available which tell you how many click throughs there have been to your website from the directory, if you have a silver listing or above.
How do I change my listing?
Log in to your account, click on Edit My Listings. Choose the listing you want to change, and click the Edit button.
What does it cost?
Basic listings are free. There are several upgrade options, which are outlined here.
How can I upgrade my listing?
Log in to your account, click on Upgrade My Listings. Choose the listing you want to upgrade. The program will take you through the steps. If you choose an upgraded listing, you can click on Images to add a logo or picture to your listing.
I want to sponsor a category
You can sponsor the category your listing is in, or another related category. For example, a feed manufacturer may wish to sponsor the feed outlets category. There is only one sponsor per category.
Can I list if not net savvy?
Yes, there is a form you can fill out and post to us. There is a nominal charge for manual listings. The manual listing form is here.
If I upgrade to a paid listing, is the credit card system secure?
Horsetalk directory uses a secure online banking environment and, yes, a very high level of encryption is used in processing the transaction. Of course, you can also fax us your details, phone us your credit card details, or post a cheque. Click here for details on your payment options.

Why did you create this directory?
This directory represents the biggest single investment in Horsetalk since it started 1in 1997. We did it because we have seen nothing like it in Australia or New Zealand and believe it will present the best opportunity yet for both those that have horse services and products and those that need them to get together.
What kinds of uses could be applied to the Mini web pages?
Obviously, firms and individuals could use it for promotional information about themselves, but it could also prove invaluable for the likes of a manufacturer wanting to list the names and contact details of its retailers.
